Meet Richard

Richard Godfrey has spent 15 years leading and transforming teams across both the public and private sectors, specialising in digital and change management. His experience includes running large teams in highly governed organisations, where the restrictions on freedom and agility often slowed down decision-making and stifled progress. It was from these challenges that Richard developed the 5D Agile framework—a method designed to create structure, foster accountability, and give leaders the ability to step back from daily operations.

Richard’s work bridges the gap between governance and agility. He understands firsthand how complex organisations can struggle to stay aligned and maintain control as they grow. His mission is to help CEOs break through those barriers, empowering their teams to run the business while they focus on leading it.

In addition to his hands-on leadership experience, Richard is the author of two books on digital transformation and has built Hashiru, a software tool that supports the implementation of his 5D Agile framework. His career has spanned both public and private sectors, giving him a unique perspective on how to drive change in even the most challenging environments.
